DIRECTOR

Dr. Ashley Dolan is the founder of New Narratives and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist committed to helping individuals cultivate healthier relationships and lead more fulfilling lives. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and completed both her master’s and doctoral degrees at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Throughout her doctoral training, Dr. Dolan gained extensive clinical experience in diverse settings, including group practice, university counseling centers, and inpatient hospitals. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Manhattanville College. Before establishing New Narratives in Chicago, Dr. Dolan worked with the IMA Group in New York City, providing organizational assessments. Using a warm and empathic approach, she strives to promote insight, connection, and growth with her clients as they navigate life’s challenges. She also takes great satisfaction in mentoring and supervising psychology professionals at every stage of their development, empowering them to build the skills and confidence essential for success in their careers.

LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Gioia Pirrello is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Professor of Psychology at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After completing her undergraduate studies at Bennington College, she earned her master’s and doctorate degrees at Adler University, where she trained in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient hospitals, university counseling centers, and private group practices. Her APA-accredited internship was completed at Shared Vision Psychological Services in Oakbrook, Illinois. Her approach is characterized by a genuine curiosity and an inviting openness that encourages clients to explore their stories with a sense of playfulness and discovery. She is passionate about helping individuals uncover deeper self-awareness and navigate their personal journeys with compassion and insight.

LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR

Baillie Gardunia is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to fostering growth and lasting change. She earned her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and completed her Master’s degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she gained valuable experience training in a private practice setting. Currently, she is advancing her expertise as a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, she creates a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their inner world, understand themselves more deeply, and build meaningful change in their lives.
